House Update!!

I was so excited to see the siding up when I went out to take pictures today! It looks great! Other than my heels sinking about 3 inches into the thick mud, it was great to see the progress. Hope everyone is having a great week!

96 Days Baby!! I love you and miss you!!!

The places on the bottom half that dont have siding are where the stone will go.

I cant believe its coming together so fast!

Our visit to see Rob and Raechel!

One of our friends and a Marine that was deployed with Ben was seriously injured by an IED on Saturday March 20th in Afghanistan. He was flown into the Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland and met by his wife, Raechel.
Rob is blessed to have survived and is recovering well. He is a fighter and with so many prayers and support he is going to come out even stronger!!
Ashley ( another sniper wife) and I drove up to Bethesda this past weekend to visit Rob and Raechel. It was an emotional but good visit. He misses the guys like crazy and wished he could go back. He is getting stronger everyday.
We are so thankful for the sacrifices that he and our guys of 1/6 make everyday.
Here are a few pics from our visit.
Baby, I am so proud of you!! Only 97 days left!! Yeah!! Stay strong and I will see you soon! I love you and miss you!

Weapons Company

Family and Friends of Weapons Company,

Greetings from Marjeh, Afghanistan. I want to let you know that your Marines and Sailors are doing well. The weather here is starting to warm up rapidly and it looks like it will be a hot summer. We are currently approaching the halfway point of the deployment as we continue to stabilize Marjeh. The Marines and Sailors are directly supporting the other companies every day by keeping the roads clear of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s), our biggest threat at the moment. Your Marines and Sailors continue to maintain a high level of professionalism and motivation due to all the letters, family photos, and packages that you send, so keep them coming. Currently we are constructing a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Marjeh; this comes at a very good time because we have moved multiple times in and around the area. This will be our new home until we can transit back home and into the arms of our loving families. As the Commanding Officer of Weapons Company, I would like to thank each and every one of you for the support that you give us from home.

Thank you and Semper Fidelis.

Capt Zinni

The new house update!

Well here is  a new picture of the new house. They are moving along well. I will be doing the walk thru with the electrician some time next week to ensure that all of our custom lighting and changes are wired correctly. We are getting very excited. Now I just have to find the motivation to start packing. We are still set to close around the end of May thru mid June. Hope everyone is doing well. We are enjoying the beautiful NC spring weather. I spoke to Ben today and he said it is getting very hot over there. I have already sent lots of hot weather gear in the last 3 packages so i am hoping he will be all set. Please keep him and his guys in your prayers. They are all definitely ready to come home and we are almost half way there! Stay safe and we will see you soon baby!!
